Pulisic s Impact at Milan and Future ProspectsPulisic s Impact at Milan and Future Prospects

omidbasir- Christian Pulisic spent four years at Stamford Bridge from 2019 to 2023, where he made history as a Champions League winner with Chelsea. During his time in London, he experienced notable successes, including scoring a Premier League hat-trick and securing major awards, although he faced challenges in consistently earning a starting position.

He embraced the opportunity to play in Italy and has since achieved personal milestones with AC Milan. Last season, he recorded an impressive total of 17 goals, showcasing his ability to make a significant impact individually, even as the team faced consistency issues collectively.

As he prepares for a home World Cup with the United States this summer, Pulisic may assume the captain’s armband at times and is confronted with important decisions regarding his future. Milan has long proposed a contract extension, but the 27-year-old appears uncertain about whether his long-term prospects are best served in his current environment.

In an interview, former USMNT star Ramos discussed Pulisic’s situation, stating, “It’s hard to tell. Milan is a prestigious club, historically one of the largest in the world. There is always an allure to return to the Premier League, which many consider the best league globally. However, players must also consider financial differences and what is best for their families. Looking at his performance, Pulisic is in a favorable position at Milan as he plays a crucial role in a great league and a storied club. I would prefer to see him remain there.”

When asked about the possibility of Pulisic returning to the Premier League, with several top clubs reportedly interested, Ramos noted: “If a Premier League club is genuinely committed and competitive—not a bottom-of-the-table team—then it could be an appealing scenario. Pulisic is a formidable player in the final third; however, he may struggle if placed in a team that focuses on defense and counterattacking, as that does not align with his playing style.”

Former Manchester United defender Paul Parker also weighed in, highlighting Pulisic’s versatility and attacking prowess. He remarked, “He possesses the ability to excel in one-on-one situations, operate on either flank, and effectively contribute in the central attacking role. His transition from Chelsea to Milan has been beneficial, allowing him to thrive in a top-tier league. The prospect of returning to the Premier League with Manchester United would be monumental for him, making him one of the most renowned American footballers with such a distinguished background. I would keep that option alive for someone of his caliber.”

Pulisic has once again reached double figures for goals this season and is reportedly attracting attention from North London rivals Arsenal and Tottenham. Milan remains optimistic about contract discussions and is under no immediate pressure to sell, as Pulisic’s current contract extends to 2027, with an option for an additional year.
