Endrick’s Journey: From Real Madrid to Lyon and Beyond

However, securing a starting position in the competitive environment of Madrid proved challenging, leading to a modest tally of seven goals across 40 appearances in all competitions.

With established stars like Kylian Mbappé, Vinicius Junior, and Rodrygo dominating the attacking lineup, Endrick found himself in a supporting role, which soon became frustrating for the young forward. Now at 19, Endrick is showcasing his potential at Lyon, where he has made an impressive start, netting five goals, including a hat-trick against Metz. However, his progress was momentarily marred by a red card in a match against Nantes, highlighting that he still has room to grow as a player.

The talented forward has attracted interest from several clubs in England, with former Manchester United striker Louis Saha commenting on the prospect of Endrick joining Old Trafford. Saha remarked, “Endrick is an exciting player with immense potential. He is mentally strong and confident, capable of creating chances and scoring from long distances. Although the challenge at Real Madrid is significant, especially with Mbappé on the team, his arrival at Manchester United would certainly be special.”

Endrick’s agent, Tiago Freitas, has maintained a focus on the player’s current loan spell at Lyon, clarifying that Endrick will return to Real Madrid at the end of the season, as the loan agreement does not include an option to buy. Freitas stated, “Endrick was loaned to Lyon for six months, and it is clear that he will be back at Real Madrid. His performance in France, including goals in his debut matches, has been commendable.”

He added that Endrick faced tough competition at Real Madrid, with numerous elite players in the squad, making it typical for a young player to have limited playing time. Freitas also noted that Endrick did not start the season with the team due to injury and missed travel for the Club World Cup, which contributed to his difficulties in securing game time.

Looking ahead, Endrick aims to earn a spot on Brazil’s squad for the 2026 World Cup, having already gained 14 senior caps. A successful tenure in France could enhance his chances, while interest from clubs like Manchester United is expected to intensify should he perform well on the international stage.
