Injury Woes Continue for FeyenoordInjury Woes Continue for Feyenoord

omidbasir- Feyenoord continues to grapple with a series of injuries that seem relentless. Oussama Targhalline was forced to leave the match against Go Ahead Eagles following a severe challenge by Thibo Baeten. His replacement, Sem Steijn, also could not complete the game, exacerbating the club’s ongoing injury concerns and prompting discussions about potential changes within the medical staff.

The wave of injuries at Feyenoord has sparked surprise among observers, particularly regarding Steijn’s situation. Feyenoord analyst Dennis Kranenburg remarked, “If you say beforehand that he’s back and could possibly play, it doesn’t necessarily mean he’s fit to last the entire 75 minutes.”

Kranenburg further emphasized that Feyenoord’s injury troubles are not new. He noted, “In my opinion, this issue has never fully abated. The list includes Trauner, Beelen, Jeng, Read, Van Persie, Diarra, Sauer, and now Targhalline; it’s quite significant.” While he acknowledges that some injuries, like those sustained by Targhalline or Beelen, are unavoidable, he expressed frustration at the ongoing lengthy roster of injured players.
