According to reports from The Sun, David Beckham recently celebrated his knighthood from King Charles III with an intimate gathering of approximately 30 guests at The Bull pub in Charlbury, Cotswolds. Among the attendees were notable friends such as filmmaker Guy Ritchie and former football teammate Gary Neville. The culinary offerings included oysters and barbecued lamb accompanied by roast potatoes, complemented by several bottles of rosé wine priced at £55 each, along with an assortment of beers, margaritas, and espresso martini cocktails.

During the celebration, Beckham’s son Cruz performed an original song featuring the line, “King Charles came to David Beckham and knighted him my man.” The lively crowd then joined in singing popular hits from Oasis and The Rolling Stones. The 50-year-old Beckham even participated in the festivities, dancing as the crowd chanted, “We love you Sir David Beckham.”

The party concluded just before midnight, after which Beckham took the time to pose for selfies and sign autographs for fans. While Cruz and Romeo participated in the festivities, eldest son Brooklyn was notably absent.

An attendee described the atmosphere, stating, “It was really kicking off. After dinner, Beckham and his friends moved to the main pub area for dancing and singing. The locals were astonished to share the evening with Beckham. The music was loud, and everyone was singing along; it felt like a New Year’s Eve celebration. The pub was packed, and as word spread, more people joined in.”

Beckham’s heartfelt reaction upon receiving the honor from King Charles III was captured as he conveyed to reporters, “It’s a very proud day for us as a family. I grew up in the east end of London in a very humble family. My dream was always to become a professional footballer, to play for Manchester United and my country. Everything else that has come with that has been incredible. But today, to be honored by one of the most respected institutions in the world, as an East End boy, it’s a very proud day.”

Beckham’s journey to knighthood has been a long process since he emerged as a prominent figure in English football during the 1990s with Manchester United. His international fame soared further with his move to Real Madrid in 2003, followed by a stint at LA Galaxy, and ultimately becoming a co-owner of Inter Miami. After debuting for Manchester United in 1992, Beckham played a crucial role in the club’s historic treble victory in 1999.

Currently, he is eagerly anticipating Inter Miami’s pursuit of their first MLS Cup in 2025. Following their victory of the MLS Supporters’ Shield last season, the Herons are keen to secure the Cup this year. With the talent of Lionel Messi leading the charge, Inter Miami is preparing for the upcoming MLS Conference semi-final against Cincinnati on November 22, after decisively defeating Nashville 4-0 in the Eastern Conference last-four stage.
