Garnacho delivered an impressive performance as Chelsea secured a 3-0 victory over manager-less Wolves at Stamford Bridge, propelling them to second place in the Premier League. The Argentine winger played a crucial role, assisting the opening goal by Malo Gusto and the third by Pedro Neto during a commanding second-half display. Following a lackluster, goalless first half, Garnacho provided a looping cross for Gusto to head in the opener in the 51st minute, before delivering a precise low cross that enabled Neto to tap in and seal the win. This marked the first instance in which Garnacho registered two assists in a league match for Chelsea.

After the match, Chelsea’s manager took a subtle jab at Manchester United regarding Garnacho’s previous training regimen. He remarked, “Work hard—this has been the primary message since he joined us. In terms of quality on the ball, we know he excels; however, to integrate with our team, he must exert effort both on and off the ball. He arrived from a club where he was not training at full capacity, which affected his physical condition. Gradually, he is improving. He understands that to play with us, he needs to perform well both with and without the ball; otherwise, he won’t see game time.”

Chelsea has shown encouraging form in recent weeks, notwithstanding a disappointing draw in the Champions League against Qarabag. One of the standout stories of the season has been the emergence of young talent Estevao. The Brazilian wonderkid officially joined Chelsea in the summer of 2025 from Palmeiras, finalizing a transfer agreement that had been reached in 2024. Estevao received commendation from Maresca, who noted, “When Estevao came on, the energy elevated because fans appreciate that type of player; his talent is evident. We are working to facilitate his adaptation and ensure he receives the right amount of playing time. He has arrived from Brazil and will need time to acclimatize, but he is set to start games for us in the near future.”

The win at Stamford Bridge elevated Chelsea’s standing in the league, yet concerns arose over injuries affecting manager Maresca’s squad. Captain Enzo Fernandez reported a long-standing injury, and there were additional worries regarding Pedro Neto.

Looking ahead, Chelsea faces a demanding schedule following the international break, starting with an away match against Burnley on November 22, followed by a significant home clash in the Champions League against Barcelona on November 25, and concluding the month with a crucial derby against title rivals Arsenal at Stamford Bridge.
