Jans believes that Ajax possesses several quality players, regardless of their recent struggles. He questions how the Ajax squad has coped with the departure of John Heitinga. “I am very curious about how they (Ajax) will respond, especially in the face of adversity,” Jans stated just before kickoff at De Galgenwaard during an interview with ESPN. “Such situations often provide a breath of fresh air.
