Marco van Basten Critiques Ajax Youth Academy

Marco van Basten has expressed considerable disappointment with the Ajax youth academy. The former coach of the Dutch national team highlighted issues surrounding the inadequate progression of players and the subpar performances of Jong Ajax.

Following Ajax 1’s recent defeat to FC Utrecht with a score of 2-1, Van Basten shared his thoughts during a segment on Rondo. He remarked, “I don’t think this is going to change anytime soon. You are simply dealing with the qualities of the group. They are still quite young and lack experience. There is minimal cohesion and limited teamwork. They are trying their best, but they simply are not performing at a high level.”
