Benjamin Sesko Injury Update Optimism Surrounds RecoveryBenjamin Sesko Injury Update Optimism Surrounds Recovery

Manchester United is hopeful that Benjamin Sesko has avoided a serious injury after he was forced to leave the field during the 2-2 draw against Tottenham, according to sources reported by ESPN.

Sesko has withdrawn from the Slovenia national squad ahead of the international break and will remain in Manchester for further evaluation.

The 22-year-old is set to undergo additional tests on the knee issue sustained at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Saturday. Sources indicate that United’s medical staff are optimistic about gaining a clearer understanding of the injury before the Premier League resumes with Everton’s visit to Old Trafford on November 24.

Following the match, Sesko was observed limping significantly. However, the club is confident that the striker will not face an extended period on the sidelines.

In other news, United has permitted defender Lisandro Martínez to join the Argentina squad, despite his absence from competitive play since February. The 27-year-old has returned to training but has yet to feature in a match.

Martínez will team up with the Argentina national team during the international break, although he will remain unavailable for participation in games. To monitor his recovery, United has assigned a staff member to accompany him.
