Positive Medical Update on Pedro Díaz’s Knee Injury

Medical tests conducted on Pedro Díaz have yielded the best possible diagnosis for his left knee.

After reducing the swelling and undergoing an MRI, serious ligament damage in the left knee of the Asturian player has been ruled out. However, Pedro Díaz will take several weeks to fully reintegrate into training alongside his teammates.

Díaz was substituted in the 27th minute of the match against Real Madrid following an accidental collision with Valverde, which resulted in an unnatural twist of his left knee. Initially, there were concerns in Vallecas about a severe injury that could sideline the Asturian for several months; fortunately, there is no ligament tear.
