Ugrinic Makes Progress in Recovery with ValenciaUgrinic Makes Progress in Recovery with Valencia

Ugrinic is showing signs of improvement, at least according to the latest updates from Valencia. The Swiss player, who sustained an injury shortly after arriving at the club, has participated in today’s training session, albeit partially. This marks his first appearance this season following a knee injury sustained shortly after his arrival.

Since joining Valencia for over €3.5 million, a significant investment for the club, Ugrinic has been unable to contribute on the field. He played only a few minutes before recurring pain in his knee led to a decision to halt his participation and initiate a different recovery plan.

With over a month without game time, it seems ambitious to expect Ugrinic to be fit for the match against Levante scheduled for November 21. However, the fact that he has stepped onto the pitch and is training with his teammates is a promising development. Valencia is currently struggling with offensive power, ranking among the lowest in terms of goals scored this season, making Ugrinic’s return crucial for the team’s attacking options.

Today’s training session was one of three planned this week, during the international break, which has seen minimal impact from the FIFA virus on the squad, with only one international player, the backup goalkeeper. Tárrega and Thierry, however, did not participate today due to injuries sustained in the match against Betis, and the coaching staff has opted to give them time to recover from their ailments.
