Harry Kane s Future A Potential Move to La LigaHarry Kane s Future A Potential Move to La Liga

The 32-year-old forward has not indicated any desire for a new challenge, with discussions of extending his contract in Germany underway. His remarkable form at Bayern has seen him score 108 goals in 113 appearances.

Kane has finally secured silverware in Bavaria, celebrating victories in the Bundesliga and the Super Cup, and he now aims for further major titles with both club and country. A potential transfer to Santiago Bernabéu would offer him opportunities to compete for prestigious domestic and international honors.

Former Tottenham and England player Chris Waddle believes Kane should consider a move to La Liga—perhaps as a ‘Galactico’ in Madrid—pointing out little suggests he would want to return to North London as Spurs’ all-time leading scorer.

In an interview with SheKicks.net, Waddle remarked, “It sounds appealing, doesn’t it? While a return to Tottenham would be wonderful for the club, I’m uncertain they would pursue him given his age and the asking price.

“Even if another team expressed interest, I’m not convinced Bayern Munich would be willing to part with him. They allowed Robert Lewandowski to move to Barcelona at a similar age, and he continues to score effortlessly. Real Madrid could benefit from a striker like Kane. With Lewandowski potentially departing Barcelona, Kane would be an excellent fit.”

“Harry might feel he has accomplished what he set out to do in England and may view his time in Germany similarly. He could now be eyeing new challenges in Italy, Spain, or France. Bayern is a colossal team, but Real Madrid holds an even more significant status—what an incredible narrative that would create!

“If I were Real Madrid, Barcelona, or Milan, I would certainly inquire about him. He consistently scores goals and is technically gifted, able to play both as a No. 9 and a No. 10. His collaboration with Nicolas Jackson has showcased his exceptional passing and link-up play. He is also capable of creating opportunities. Thus, I would be surprised if Bayern were willing to let him go rather than securing him for an additional two years.

“If I were in Harry’s position, I would prefer to experience life in Spain rather than return to England. Achieving that record would be remarkable, but his achievements in England already speak volumes.”

Waddle has previously suggested that if Kane were to consider a move to clubs like Paris Saint-Germain or Real Madrid, those clubs would undoubtedly express interest in him should he seek to leave Bayern. He added, “Tottenham would gladly welcome him back.

“He is an exceptional player, and while some criticize Kane for his pace, he has proven himself throughout his career by consistently scoring goals. Each season, he delivers, which is what he is paid to do. He is also a highly skilled footballer.

“Kane wouldn’t necessarily declare, ‘I would love to return to Tottenham.’ Instead, he might think, ‘Why not explore new horizons and play for a team like Real Madrid?’ What an opportunity that would be.”

Kane’s contract with Bayern is set to expire in 2027. However, he could be released from this agreement for an estimated fee of £57 million ($75 million) in the summer of 2026. It remains to be seen if any of his potential suitors, particularly Barcelona, will formalize their interest following Kane’s captaincy of England in another World Cup.
