Ajax Amsterdam and Francesco Farioli have mutually decided to end their partnership after just one season. In the process of seeking an appropriate successor, the club reportedly did not have a comprehensive profile description, as noted by Voetbal International. Ultimately, technical director Alex Kroes appointed John Heitinga, who has since been dismissed.

The collaboration between Farioli and Ajax lasted only a single season. Meanwhile, Heitinga’s tenure was short-lived as he was also let go, while Farioli is currently experiencing success at FC Porto. According to VI, Ajax expressed a strong desire to appoint a Dutch coach with ‘Ajax DNA’ to succeed Farioli. It was reported that no detailed profile would be created, aside from the club’s aim to adopt a more offensive style of play, incorporating more youth from their academy.
