Rafita Garrido Attracts Interest from CA OsasunaRafita Garrido Attracts Interest from CA Osasuna

Rafita Garrido, the latest youth academy graduate to receive a chance with the first team from coach Sergio Pellicer, has garnered interest from a top-tier club: CA Osasuna. According to Radio MARCA Málaga, the right-back has been contacted by the Navarre club to discuss his contractual situation. Osasuna’s objective appears to be incorporating him into their reserve team, Osasuna Promesas, which currently occupies a relegation position in Primera RFEF.

At just 21 years old, the Vélez-Málaga native has emerged as one of the standout players for Málaga CF this season. He has seized the opportunity presented by the absences of Carlos Puga and Jokin Gabilondo, securing a position in Pellicer’s plans and even maintaining his starting role after Gabilondo’s return. Currently, Rafita holds a contract with the reserve team, yet his contributions to the first team have been undeniable, making him the player with the most minutes in the squad.

Rafita joined Málaga CF during his youth years, transitioning from the Francisco Castejón Juvenil in Vélez-Málaga after a noteworthy season that caught the attention of the club. Since then, he has completed three seasons with the organization: one in the youth category and two with Atlético Malagueño, amassing over 100 official appearances across various age levels. If Osasuna’s interest materializes, it seems that this figure may remain unchanged for the time being.

The Navarrese club aims to bring him into their reserve team as soon as possible; however, his involvement with the first team is also a possibility due to injuries affecting that position. Both Valentin Rosier and Iker Benito, the two right-backs for Alessio Lisci’s squad, are currently sidelined, with Rosier dealing with a myotendinous injury in his right hamstring and Benito recovering from an anterior cruciate ligament tear.

As of now, Rafita’s situation remains stable. The player remains fully focused on his role with Málaga CF, where he enjoys the trust of the coaching staff. The atmosphere at the club is calm, as he is under contract. It is confirmed that one of the most promising talents from the Málaga youth academy has been approached by a Primera División club like Osasuna.
