Christian Falk, a notable German football journalist, recently shared insights on Sport Bild’s Bayern Insider Podcast regarding the future of Bayern Munich forward Serge Gnabry. He confirmed reports from Italy’s Gazzetta dello Sport that indicate Juventus is among several clubs keen to secure the 30-year-old Bundesliga star on a free transfer for the upcoming season. Liverpool is also competing for his signature.

Gnabry’s current contract is set to expire, allowing the Stuttgart native to negotiate a free transfer with other teams as soon as the January transfer window opens. The 55-time capped international has demonstrated a significant resurgence in form, netting four goals for Bayern and two for Germany this year.

As Gnabry approaches the latter stages of his career, a return to England could provide him with a compelling opportunity to prove his capabilities, especially after his earlier stints with Arsenal and West Bromwich Albion, which did not meet expectations under renowned managers like Arsene Wenger and Tony Pulis. Such a move could help him confront past challenges and redefine his legacy.

Bayern Munich is still in discussions with Gnabry’s representatives regarding a potential contract extension. However, it is likely that regardless of where he plays next season, Gnabry will need to accept a reduced salary. Currently, he earns between €17 million and €19 million annually with the German champions.
