The €70 million release clause of Serhou Guirassy, currently with Borussia Dortmund, is reportedly not applicable to clubs outside of Europe, significantly influencing the striker’s potential future. According to Sport Bild, Guirassy’s agency, KGSMI, managed by his brother Karamba, is actively exploring opportunities for the 29-year-old with unnamed Saudi Arabian clubs.

It has been reported that Guirassy earns approximately €9 million annually at Dortmund, but he could potentially double this income by making a move to the Arabian Peninsula. His current contract with Borussia Dortmund is valid until 2028.

As he spends the international break in the Ruhrpott, Guirassy is not participating in friendly matches, given that the Guinean national team failed to qualify for the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations. This decision spares him from long-distance travel.

Currently, Guirassy is aiming to break out of a scoring slump, having netted only two goals in his last 11 competitive appearances. In his most recent Bundesliga outing, he recorded merely two touches inside the box during a 1-1 draw against Hamburger SV.
