Ronaldo’s Red Card: Implications for Portugal’s World Cup Qualification

However, FIFA evaluates these instances individually. For reference, during the 2023 Women’s World Cup, England’s Lauren James received a two-match suspension for a similar offense.

While it is anticipated that Ronaldo may face a three-game ban, it is feasible he could receive only a two-match suspension.

This would suggest that Ronaldo might learn his fate just before the World Cup draw on December 5.
