Endrick s Future Uncertain Amidst Limited Opportunities at Real MadridEndrick s Future Uncertain Amidst Limited Opportunities at Real Madrid

In 2024, Endrick was signed by the Madrid board amid high expectations, having showcased his talent while playing for Palmeiras in Brazil. During his inaugural season under Italian head coach Carlo Ancelotti, he made 37 appearances, netting seven goals and providing one assist. However, since the onset of the Xabi Alonso era this season, the young Brazilian has found himself sidelined, with only 11 minutes of playtime in La Liga. He is reportedly seeking an exit from the club to regain his form. Although Alonso has expressed confidence in the 2006-born Brazilian, he has yet to provide him with a substantial opportunity to demonstrate his capabilities. The competition within the squad is fierce, especially with Gonzalo Garcia rising in ranks due to impressive performances in the Club World Cup, and Kylian Mbappe establishing himself as the team’s key scorer.

Reports suggest that Endrick is likely to depart Madrid, although his next destination remains uncertain. In this context, former West Ham player Hutchison has urged his old club to pursue a transfer for the 19-year-old.

In an interview with Sportscasting, he stated, “I believe securing Endrick would be a wise move for West Ham, provided it is feasible. He possesses a strong physique and needs time to develop, which can be challenging in the Premier League. A temporary move to a club like Real Sociedad, similar to the paths taken by Isak or Odegaard, might be advantageous. Playing consistently in La Liga can help him build his confidence and improve his physical attributes. However, joining a Premier League team in a relegation battle might not afford him the necessary game time. Therefore, if I were Endrick, I would consider a short-term transfer within La Liga to play regularly, which could potentially set the stage for a move back to England or back to Real Madrid. I would endorse such a move for West Ham.”

Acquiring Endrick will not be straightforward for West Ham, as he has specific criteria for selecting a new club. His primary consideration is the league’s caliber, favoring top-tier competitions in Europe. Although he might consider leading clubs in Portugal, his preferences include teams from England, Spain, France, Italy, and Germany. Additionally, the club must be involved in continental competitions and be a strong contender in their domestic league. It is essential that the team adopts an attacking style of play to align with Endrick’s strengths. Recently, French club Lyon has emerged as a potential destination for the young forward, possibly sidelining Manchester United’s loan interest. However, the deal has not yet been finalized and could change if another club enters the fray.

While Hutchison has recommended Endrick to West Ham, the club may not be the ideal fit for him. Currently, the Hammers sit in 18th place in the Premier League and are not participating in any continental competitions. As they strive to improve their standing and avoid relegation, West Ham may require reinforcements, but signing Endrick could prove to be less than optimal. Additionally, Endrick, returning from injury, has yet to secure a starting position this season, and the club’s current situation does not align with the conditions he has stipulated.
