omidbasir- Franco Mastantuono was the focal point on Tuesday’s episode of El Larguero on Cadena SER. The Argentine discussed the latest developments at Real Madrid, as well as touching on topics such as comparisons with Lamine Yamal and the presence of Lionel Messi.

Regarding Vinicius’s frustration during El Clásico, Mastantuono stated, “When he left the field, it was certainly not the right way to address the situation. He apologized to Xabi and to all of us in the locker room. He expressed regret to Xabi, to the team, acknowledging that we are all united as one. It’s crucial for us to move forward together rather than focus on individualities. Vinicius is an incredible person who often faces criticism for his demeanor, but he truly radiates joy and is always ready to play. While he does get upset like all of us, he quickly recognized that his reaction was not ideal. He understands his significance to the team as one of the captains, and I think he is remarkable for owning up to it.”

Mastantuono also expressed admiration for Messi: “I am a Madrid supporter and I am part of the biggest club in the world, but in my view, the best football player ever is Messi, and he will remain so until the day he retires. I play alongside him in the national team, and it is truly amazing; he leaves everyone in awe every time he touches the ball, even surprising his teammates. I am grateful for how he has always interacted with me.”

On the topic of Lamine Yamal, he remarked, “I’ve already addressed this subject. I do not favor comparisons, but it is always nice to have rivals of Lamine’s caliber, such as those from Barcelona and Spain. They provide motivation for us to improve, and I hope to compete at this level for many years to come.”

When asked about who is currently the better player between himself and Yamal, he responded, “At this moment, Lamine is indeed demonstrating exceptional quality; he has proven himself and is in remarkable form. I have just arrived at Madrid and am in the process of adaptation, which I hope will be swift. I aim to find my rhythm in Europe and at Madrid, and I wish to create a long-lasting legacy with many memorable matches, like the last one we witnessed.”

Lastly, he was posed with the question of whether Kylian Mbappé or Julián Alvarez is superior. He humorously replied, “You’re being unfair! I think both are performing exceptionally well. Julián is undoubtedly one of the best players in the world; he showcased his talent during the World Cup at a young age, making significant contributions off the bench and scoring goals. His skill and intelligence, along with his dedication to the team, are highly valued. Kylian, on the other hand, is a natural scorer. If he’s not the best player in the world today, he is certainly among the top two. Both are exceptional talents, and I have the privilege of playing alongside them. I appreciate both for their unique qualities.”
