Feyenoord Pursues Control Over De KuipFeyenoord Pursues Control Over De Kuip

omidbasir- Feyenoord is working towards a unified ownership of De Kuip stadium, aiming to ultimately gain control over it. However, the current shareholders of the stadium are proving to be a significant obstacle, leading sports marketer Chris Woerts to express his discontent with their actions.

Woerts criticizes what he terms “petty individuals who sit idle while benefiting from Feyenoord.” He stresses the importance of transferring power to Feyenoord, stating, “It is essential for Feyenoord to unify and for the shares to be handed over to the club. The club must be in the driver’s seat, not the stadium, which represents a very positive development.”

According to Woerts, the size of the stadium’s supervisory board is disproportionately large. He notes, “The supervisory board of the stadium is larger than that of Heineken and Unilever combined; it’s laughable. It is encouraging to see steps being taken towards change.”
