Carlos Soler Optimistic About Real Sociedad s FutureCarlos Soler Optimistic About Real Sociedad s Future

omidbasir- Carlos Soler believes that both he and Real Sociedad are improving and views the upcoming schedule until Christmas as an opportunity to rise in the standings, aiming to position the team in contention for European competition. The Valencia midfielder requested during a press conference for more time to assess his performance, noting that it has only been two months since his debut with the club.

Reflecting on his experience at Real Sociedad after two and a half months, Soler stated, “I feel good and am particularly pleased with the team’s improvement, not just my own. We are growing, but there’s still more potential to tap into, and we must continue to develop. Whenever I can be part of the starting lineup and with the group, it brings me joy, but I believe I can contribute even more, and I’m clear on that.”

Soler was asked again about his current form. “I am very demanding of myself, which is why I strive to work hard both during training and afterward. Both the team and I can improve and move upwards because the beginning was challenging. However, this recent stretch, where we’ve earned eight points from 12, along with the point gained in Elche, which we thought we might lose, gives us confidence for the upcoming matches leading to Christmas.”

When pressed about his contributions, Soler responded, “I think the start was tough for everyone. I joined the team in the fourth match, and it was indeed challenging for me to settle in because of the preseason and everything. I would appreciate evaluations to be made a bit later, as it’s only November 19 and I have only started two consecutive matches. We can discuss my role in the team later to determine if it has been effective. This is a five-year project; I know football values immediacy, but please give me time, as I’ve only been here three months with interruptions in between…”

The number 18 for Real Sociedad looks forward with optimism. “We are improving, and we want to continue in this current form: four games unbeaten, a more compact team, and a clearer understanding of how to press and attack. With clearer ideas, we can move upward. I joined a Real Sociedad that played in Europe, and despite the tough start, I still believe it’s a team that should be in Europe next season.”

Regarding his statements about European ambitions, which currently seem distant, Soler has adopted a more cautious approach. “When I mention Europe, I mean I believe we have the squad for it, and it’s a club that deserves to be there. Obviously, with the way we started, we wouldn’t reach that goal, so it’s a step-by-step process. I’m not sure of the exact distance from the top, but we are much closer than we were a few matches ago. Typically, things tend to balance out over the course of the season. Now, we have upcoming matches where we need to focus on dominating and with our players, I believe we will have a fulfilling season.”

For this aspiration, Carlos Soler sees the match on Saturday at El Sadar as crucial. “This Saturday’s game is key; it’s a good opportunity to demonstrate that we can also win away from home, which we have yet to achieve. Winning solely at home won’t suffice to meet our objectives. We have players capable of prevailing at Osasuna’s ground and continuing our winning streak.”
