omidbasir- Javier Tebas participated in the V Conference on Match-Fixing and Corruption in Sports, where he shared insights via his Twitter account. He highlighted that LaLiga conducted 168 integrity workshops in the past season and monitored a total of 9,026 matches.

“I was honored to open the V Conference on Match-Fixing and Corruption in Sports, alongside representatives from the General Council of the Judiciary, the Police, the Public Prosecutor’s Office, the Directorate General for the Regulation of Gambling, INTERPOL, Europol, the High Council of Sports, UEFA, the RFEF, and the AFE, among others.

Since taking over as president of LaLiga, the fight against match-fixing has been a top priority. Collaboration with the National Police is crucial, and it is gratifying to see LaLiga’s efforts recognized in this area. Our integrity model combines prevention, technology, and legal actions: last season, we conducted 168 integrity workshops, monitored 9,026 matches, and LaLiga intervened in all suspected cases of sports corruption in non-professional football.”
