Coach Matías Almeyda is awaiting the return of five other international players—Odysseas, Nyland, Vargas, Sow, and Suazo—who have yet to return to the Andalusian capital. He is also monitoring the status of injured players. Alexis Sánchez has been seen training at the sports facility and underwent further medical assessments today, indicating progress in his recovery.

Notably absent from today’s training were Marcao, who continues his rehabilitation, and Lucién Agoumé, whose return has been delayed longer than anticipated. Additionally, Isaac Romero, Azpilicueta, Cardoso, and Nianzou are currently undergoing treatment in the Sevilla infirmary. The team is intensively preparing for the match against Espanyol, which serves as a precursor to the highly anticipated derby against Betis on the 30th of this month.
