Karim Adeyemi’s Future at Borussia Dortmund in Question Amid Off-Field Issues

According to reports from Bild, Borussia Dortmund winger Karim Adeyemi appears to be reconsidering his future at the club beyond the current summer.

Represented by renowned agent Jorge Mendes, Adeyemi has been in negotiations with Dortmund regarding a contract extension that would extend beyond 2027. However, the player has expressed interest in including a release clause in the agreement, a proposal that the club is hesitant to accommodate.

Recently, Mendes has initiated preliminary discussions with Manchester United and Inter Milan regarding a potential transfer this summer.

In addition to these negotiations, recent headlines surrounding Adeyemi have focused on his off-field conduct. The 23-year-old was recently found in illegal possession of brass knuckles and a taser.

Both Germany’s head coach Julian Nagelsmann and DFB Sporting Director Rudi Völler have reached out to Adeyemi regarding these issues. Notably, Borussia Dortmund has yet to speak with the player directly about the situation.

As reported by Bild, Adeyemi is expected to face a fine of €450,000 due to these legal troubles.
