Sevilla Prepares for Upcoming Match Against EspanyolSevilla Prepares for Upcoming Match Against Espanyol

omidbasir- Sevilla FC conducted its second training session this morning, gearing up for the match against Espanyol scheduled for next Monday. A significant development during today’s practice was the return of defender Marcao, who had been sidelined due to a bone contusion in his left ankle. After missing yesterday’s session, he participated at the beginning of today’s training.

This news comes as a relief for head coach Matías Almeyda, as he faces challenges with several defenders unavailable. José Ángel Carmona will miss the match due to suspension, while Nianzou, Azpilicueta, and Cardoso are still in recovery from their respective injuries. Additionally, Agoumé, Alexis Sánchez, and Isaac Romero are also working towards returning to full fitness. Romero, who sustained an adductor injury in early November, has been training individually to expedite his recovery.

The coach welcomed international players Akor Adams, Ejuke, and Gudelj back into the fold yesterday, and today Odysseas Vlachodimos joined the squad as well. The team is still awaiting the return of Nyland, Suazo, Sow, and Rubén Vargas. A player will address the media at noon to discuss the team’s return to competition, and the squad will hold another training session tomorrow at 10:00 AM at the sports city.
