Isaac Romero Provides Update on Recovery and Team DynamicsIsaac Romero Provides Update on Recovery and Team Dynamics

omidbasir- On Thursday, Isaac Romero addressed the media in the press room of the Jesús Navas stadium following the second training session of the week for Sevilla at the sports complex. The forward, who sustained an adductor injury two weeks ago, is in the final stages of his recovery. “I feel better every day with improved sensations. I am working hard to return to the group as soon as possible, and hopefully, in the coming days, I can join them to assist in any way I can,” the Lebrijano athlete stated.

Regarding his recovery, he added, “I am striving to be back with the team soon. I hope it will be in the next few days so that the coach can count on me for the match against Espanyol. I will do everything possible to make that happen.”

On a personal note, Romero expressed his happiness, saying, “I feel very good this year; everything feels different. We have managed to build a strong bond both on and off the pitch, thanks to Matías and the entire coaching staff, who are consistently present and supportive. Personally, I am very content and happy with the group we have formed.”

Commenting on the changes under coach Almeyda, he remarked, “I believe we are more united than last year. We’ve built a large family. Aside from the veterans, most of us are around the same age, allowing us to connect on personal levels, and I think we are gradually demonstrating that.”

On teammate Akor Adams, Romero stated, “He is a great person, very approachable, and we help each other compete. We aim to score as many goals as possible to assist the team, and we are working well in that regard. I always wish him the best. It’s unfortunate that he will be away for a while because I will be left alone, but I will continue to work hard as I have been.”

Discussing goal statistics, he said, “I always try to score as many goals as possible because that’s what is expected of me, alongside hard work and sacrifice for the team. I practice daily to improve my finishing skills, and I am finding it easier to execute those exercises. I am pleased because, at this time last year, I had very few goals, and I already have three this year.”

Reflecting on summer transfer offers, he commented, “I believe the club is open to listening to various offers, but I have always been clear that I want to stay. I am happy here and have much to offer this club. I have many dreams to fulfill while wearing this jersey.”

Regarding new arrivals in the forward position, he noted, “Personally, it doesn’t bother me. I will continue to work as I always have. If a new teammate arrives, it is to benefit the group. I have always worked hard, and a new addition won’t discourage me; if anything, it motivates me.”

On the upcoming derby match, Romero said, “For now, we are not discussing it because our focus is on Espanyol, which is crucial for securing three important points. Everyone knows what the derby means in this city and the atmosphere surrounding it, but right now, our priority is the match on Monday.”

Finally, addressing injuries, he remarked, “If I told you anything, I would be making it up. Injuries are a part of football; they are normal occurrences. I can’t say why they happen, but we are all recovering to return as soon as possible.”
