Wales has yet to achieve a victory against Bosnia and Herzegovina, having faced them on four occasions.

Craig Bellamy’s team is scheduled to host Bosnia in the semi-finals of the European play-offs for the World Cup qualifiers on March 26, 2026. The winner will then compete against the victor of the other Path A semi-final, which features Italy and Northern Ireland, for a coveted spot at the 2026 World Cup.

The two nations first clashed in February 2003 during an international friendly, which ended in a 2-2 draw. Notably, this match marked the only two goals Wales has scored against Bosnia throughout their encounters.

Their second meeting occurred in August 2012, also as a friendly, where Bosnia emerged victorious with a 2-0 win at Parc y Scarlets in Llanelli.

Following this, the teams played twice more in subsequent qualifiers, both on October 10. In 2014, they battled to a goalless stalemate at Cardiff City Stadium during the qualification for the 2016 European Championships. A year later, Bosnia triumphed with a 2-0 victory in Zenica, with Milan Djuric and Vedad Ibisevic scoring late in the match.

Although Wales faced defeat in their last encounter with Bosnia and Herzegovina, results from other matches that night ensured their qualification for Euro 2016.
