omidbasir- Pep Guardiola has publicly expressed his feelings of embarrassment and shame following his recent interaction with a television cameraman after Manchester City’s 2-1 defeat to Newcastle United on Saturday.

In the aftermath of the match at St James’ Park, Guardiola was observed in what appeared to be a heated exchange with the cameraman. He was also seen engaging in animated discussions with referee Samuel Barrott and Newcastle midfielder Bruno Guimarães.

During a press conference on Monday, Guardiola addressed the incident with the cameraman, revealing that he had already apologized for his behavior. “I feel embarrassed, ashamed when I see it,” Guardiola stated. “I don’t like it. I apologized after one second to the cameraman. I am who I am. After 1,000 games, I’m not a perfect person; I make huge mistakes. It’s not about that. What is for sure is that I defend any team and my club. That’s for sure. The reason why is I want to defend my team and my club.”

In a subsequent news conference ahead of Bayer Leverkusen’s visit to the Etihad Stadium for their Champions League match on Tuesday, Guardiola also made a subtle criticism regarding the situation of Claudio Echeverri’s loan to Leverkusen. Although the young Argentine is on loan from City, he has faced challenges in securing playing time in the Bundesliga.

Guardiola indicated that City would have preferred Echeverri to join Girona, a club within the City Football Group network, and expressed his disappointment over the player’s circumstances in Germany. “Always, I would love for players to play a lot of minutes; the intention is always there,” he remarked regarding Echeverri’s situation. “We hold an incredible appreciation for him as a football player. I am sure, pretty sure, his agent will know everything.”

When asked if Echeverri could return to Manchester City in January, Guardiola quipped, “That is a question for his beautiful agent.”
