Dominik Kohr Faces Potential Suspension After Controversial Red Card

Mainz defender Dominik Kohr is facing serious repercussions following his recent red card, which could result in a suspension of up to four matches. This potential ban comes from the German Football Association (DFB), which is reportedly exasperated with Kohr’s history of disciplinary infractions, as he holds the Bundesliga record for the most send-offs in league history. In the wake of his dangerous challenge on Hoffenheim player Max Moerstedt, Kohr took to social media to express his regret. However, this apology may be deemed insufficient by the DFB’s disciplinary committee, which has indicated a growing frustration with incidents involving Kohr. Kohr further extended his apologies to Mainz fans, stating, “I want to throw myself into every tackle for you, but I want to reassure you once again that I never want to hurt anyone on purpose.”
