Al Nassr extended their perfect record at the start of the Saudi Pro League season with an impressive 4-1 victory over Al Khaleej on Sunday. This commanding performance featured goals from Cristiano Ronaldo and several other high-profile signings from the club.

With João Félix and Sadio Mané already contributing to the scoreline, Ronaldo sealed the win in spectacular fashion during the 96th minute. Defying his age, the 40-year-old superstar executed a stunning overhead kick, further emphasizing his remarkable talent.

Despite Al Khaleej goalkeeper Anthony Moris getting a hand on the shot, he could not prevent the ball from finding the back of the net. This goal marked Ronaldo’s 954th career strike, reinforcing Al Nassr’s position at the top of the league table, now four points ahead of their nearest rivals after winning all nine of their opening matches.

Ronaldo’s latest overhead kick is among the fourth such acrobatic goals in his extensive career. Notably, an impressive effort during a Euro 2008 qualifier against Azerbaijan on October 7, 2006, would have topped the charts had it not been disallowed. In that instance, Ronaldo executed a bicycle kick that struck the underside of the bar, but due to the lack of goal-line technology at the time, the referees missed the fact that the ball had crossed the line.

Another memorable moment came during a 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifier against the Faroe Islands, where Ronaldo showcased his aerial skills with a beautiful scissor kick just two minutes into the match.

A year prior to his recent triumph in Saudi Arabia, Ronaldo scored twice in a 5-1 victory against Poland in the UEFA Nations League, including a superb leaping volley.

The most iconic overhead kick of Ronaldo’s career occurred during the 2017-18 UEFA Champions League quarterfinal, where he scored a breathtaking goal against Juventus. This remarkable moment, which left goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon frozen in place, was later voted as the best goal of the tournament by UEFA, solidifying Ronaldo’s legacy as one of the greatest players in football history.
