**Nick Pope (4/10):**
The evening began positively for Pope, who made two excellent saves early in the first half. However, his decision-making for the equalizer was questionable; he ventured far outside his box and was left looking foolish by Aubameyang’s stunning finish.

**Tino Livramento (6/10):**
Livramento had a demanding evening managing Greenwood and Weah’s overlapping runs. He appeared fatigued as he was substituted for Hall.

**Malick Thiaw (7/10):**
Thiaw nearly opened the scoring just minutes into the match, but his effort was cleared off the line. He had a busy evening and made several crucial clearances.

**Fabian Schar (6/10):**
Schar faced relentless pressure throughout the match, effectively blocking numerous Marseille attacks. He was a dominant presence until he was substituted in the 60th minute.

**Dan Burn (6/10):**
Returning from suspension, Burn was kept engaged all evening, successfully trying to thwart the advances of Greenwood and Weah. He performed well and made few errors.

**Bruno Guimaraes (7/10):**
Guimaraes showcased his typical energy and tenacity, tirelessly defending for his team. However, he spent most of the match in his own half.

**Sandro Tonali (6/10):**
Tonali had a productive night, being the mastermind behind Barnes’ opener. He will regret missing a fantastic opportunity to double the lead in the 23rd minute by shooting straight at the goalkeeper.

**Joe Willock (5/10):**
Willock received an early yellow card for an arm raised towards Bakola and appeared frustrated throughout the match, as many of his efforts did not yield results. His weak shot from the edge of the box exemplified this, as power was needed. He was substituted for Ramsey in the 72nd minute.

**Jacob Murphy (6/10):**
Murphy, like many of his teammates, started brightly but struggled as the hosts regained control of the game. He was substituted in the 60th minute.

**Anthony Gordon (6/10):**
After returning to the starting lineup following a two-game absence, Gordon had a relatively uneventful evening and will be disappointed with his lack of impactful creativity.

**Harvey Barnes (7/10):**
Following a strong performance against Man City, Barnes again shone in this match, staying composed to score low past the goalkeeper just a few minutes in.

**Lewis Miley (6/10):**
Miley performed well and was called into action multiple times, making important blocks that helped his team stay competitive.

**Anthony Elanga (6/10):**
Elanga was full of energy and had a couple of half-chances but lacked sufficient time to make a significant impact on the game.

**Lewis Hall (5/10):**
Hall demonstrated ambition by pushing forward into the Marseille box, but he had too few touches to create a major impact.

**Jacob Ramsey (6/10):**
Upon his introduction, Ramsey immediately made driving runs through the heart of the Marseille midfield. He appeared lively, but was unfortunately limited by his short playing time.

**Nick Woltemade (5/10):**
Woltemade was held back as Howe aimed to keep him fresh for upcoming Premier League challenges. He had minimal touches when he came on, failing to affect the match.

**Eddie Howe (5/10):**
Despite making several tactical changes, Howe’s decisions did not pay off. His side started strongly but will regret the sloppy mistakes that cost them a chance for a vital victory.
