Getafe Faces Key Player Absences Ahead of Elche Match

Getafe will be missing Mario Martín and Abdel Abqar for their upcoming match against Elche this Friday. Both players received their fifth yellow card during the recent match against Atlético de Madrid last Sunday, leading to their suspension.

On a positive note for head coach José Bordalás, Cameroonian midfielder Yvan Neyou is set to return to the squad after missing the last two matches against Atlético and Mallorca due to a muscle injury. Having previously played for Leganés, Neyou is now ready to contribute against Elche.

Although Neyou has not had the playing time he desires since joining Getafe, the absence of Mario Martín creates an opportunity for him to take the field at the Coliseum on Friday against Eder Sarabia’s team.
