Potential Changes to Eredivisie Highlights on NOS Studio Sport

NOS Studio Sport has been broadcasting highlights of Eredivisie matches for years, but this tradition may soon face significant changes. Editor-in-Chief Xander van der Wulp has expressed concerns regarding the serious implications of upcoming budget cuts at NOS.

Earlier this year, NOS announced that it would continue to air Eredivisie highlights for the next two years, extending through the 2026-2027 season. However, the program is now under threat due to impending financial reductions, which could lead to the discontinuation of these highlights as early as 2027. “This is just the beginning, as more changes are on the horizon,” Van der Wulp stated during an appearance on Pauw & De Wit.
