Eintracht Frankfurt Pursues Niclas Füllkrug Amid Injury Concerns

Sky Germany has reported that Eintracht Frankfurt is expressing interest in West Ham striker Niclas Füllkrug, who is contemplating a departure from England during the winter transfer window.

Frankfurt’s interest in Füllkrug has intensified following a calf injury sustained by Jonathan Burkardt, which may sideline him for the remainder of the year. Burkardt picked up the injury during die Adler’s 3-0 defeat to Atalanta in the Champions League.

Füllkrug’s agent has indicated a strong desire for the striker to leave West Ham, who are currently struggling in the Premier League, suggesting that a return to Germany is highly probable. Both Wolfsburg and Augsburg have also been linked to the 32-year-old forward.

Frankfurt had previously shown interest in Füllkrug last summer, but he ultimately signed with West Ham instead.

In addition, Newcastle striker William Osula has been mentioned as a potential target for Frankfurt in recent months, following an unsuccessful move on transfer deadline day. Osula, who is currently on the fringes at Newcastle, has been valued at approximately €20 million.
