René van der Gijp Praises FC Utrecht Duo El Karouani and Cathline

This past weekend, analyst René van der Gijp was notably impressed by two players from FC Utrecht: left-back Souffian El Karouani and forward Yoann Cathline. In the show Vandaag Inside, he expressed his admiration for the duo.

Despite FC Utrecht’s defeat to PSV (1-2), El Karouani and Cathline stood out. “I specifically focused on two players. You know who a good player is at FC Utrecht? It’s Cathline,” Van der Gijp began. “He glides past defenders with such ease! When I watch him play, I think: just unleash him! I get the sense that he’s playing with the handbrake on.”
