Amorim confirmed that United is actively monitoring potential new signings across all positions. Ahead of his team’s match against Aston Villa, he stated, “The only players we aim to bring in now and at the end of the season are those who fit perfectly into our future. It won’t be a case of immediately addressing the shortfall from three players going to AFCON (Noussair Mazraoui, Amad Diallo, and Bryan Mbeumo). Even if we consider bringing in one player, it may not align with our most pressing needs. I’m focused on the immediate game; we must win and adapt our play without Amad and Bryan, as we’ve lost some crucial characteristics.”

Amorim reiterated the importance of ensuring that new signings are fully committed to joining Manchester United, expressing concerns that the club has not always followed this principle in the past. In an interview with Sky Sports prior to their Premier League clash with Newcastle United on Boxing Day, he remarked, “We have room for improvement and additional players, but we must adhere to our plan.
