Barcelona s Goal Scoring Prowess Under Hansi FlickBarcelona s Goal Scoring Prowess Under Hansi Flick

One of the defining characteristics of Barcelona under Hansi Flick is their relentless pursuit of goals. The German coach consistently demands that the team seeks to score, regardless of the match situation, resulting in outstanding offensive statistics for the Catalan club. As 2025 concludes, Barcelona boasts impressive goal figures, having celebrated 169 goals across 60 matches in all competitions.

Particularly lethal in LaLiga, the team has found the back of the net 102 times in 37 league matches over the past year, averaging 2.75 goals per match.

From August to December, the Catalans scored a total of 67 goals—51 in LaLiga, 14 in the Champions League, and 2 in the Copa del Rey. Notable performances include six goals against Valencia and Olympiacos, five against Betis, and four against both Athletic and Celta de Vigo. Out of the 25 matches played, Barcelona has scored three or more goals in 13 instances. In the first half of 2025, highlights include seven goals against Valencia and five against Real Madrid, Betis, and Benfica.

This total of 169 goals marks Barcelona’s best performance since 2016, when Luis Enrique’s squad netted 174 goals, averaging 2.94 goals per game, largely thanks to the formidable trio of Messi, Neymar, and Luis Suárez. This year, the standout players in goal-scoring include Lewandowski, Ferran Torres, Raphinha, Lamine Yamal, and Fermín.

These figures could have been even more impressive but for the woodwork. The team has hit the post 36 times this year, with the latest incident involving Raphinha, who struck the crossbar in last Sunday’s match at La Cerámica. Of these 36 instances, 17 occurred this season, comprising 15 in the league and 2 in the Champions League.

To find a more remarkable record, one must look back to 2018, when Barcelona hit the woodwork 40 times.
