Raúl Moro appears poised to go down in history as a disappointing acquisition for Ajax. According to transfer journalist Matteo Moretto, the club is planning to definitively part ways with the Spanish winger.

Ajax initially sought to bolster their squad with Moro as early as January 2025, but failed to reach an agreement with his former club, Real Valladolid. Following Valladolid’s relegation, both clubs finally managed to negotiate a deal. Since then, Moro has made a total of 21 official appearances, contributing just one goal and two assists.

Initially skeptical, Ajax reporter Mike Verweij remarked on the club’s outlook regarding Moro. “Ajax stated: we have brought in Moro, and although his performance has yet to fully materialize, we see enough potential in him that we want to retain him. They are not eager to see him leave,” commented the journalist from De Telegraaf.
