Ajax Players Thrive Under Interim Manager Fred GrimAjax Players Thrive Under Interim Manager Fred Grim

In his recent column for Voetbal International, Hans Kraaij Jr. has praised interim manager Fred Grim of Ajax, noting that the team has shown considerable improvement in their performance, at least in terms of results.

Kraaij states, “I have clearly understood that the Ajax players find it very enjoyable to work with Fred Grim. He exudes calmness and enthusiasm, and despite being a strong proponent of the 4-3-3 formation, his current playing style, which employs a 4-5-1 setup, reflects a high degree of realism.”

This week, Grim was awarded the title of Eredivisie Manager of the Month by ESPN. For Grim, while this recognition is not the primary focus, he acknowledges its significance: “Ultimately, it is very nice for the club and the supporters that we are making progress,” the Ajax manager told ESPN. Although the results have been promising, the quality of play has been inconsistent. When asked if the traditional Ajax style of football can be restored, he confidently replied, “I believe it can be done.”
