Ajax Seeks New Technical Director Before Appointing Head Coach

Ajax is actively searching for a new Technical Director, which will pave the way for the appointment of a new head coach. According to Mike Verweij, Pascal Jansen stands out as an exceptional candidate for this position. The 52-year-old coach is currently employed at New York City FC but has expressed openness to the possibility of joining Ajax.

Ajax has clearly stated its intention to first appoint a new Technical Director before selecting a permanent successor to John Heitinga. In the interim, Fred Grim will continue to serve as the acting head coach. Verweij believes that Jansen would be a solid choice for the vacant coaching position in Amsterdam. “He has performed exceptionally well at AZ and has consistently shown a commitment to youth development. I consider him a very viable option among the list of candidates,” the journalist remarked in Kick Off of De Telegraaf. “Whether he is the primary candidate is something that the new Technical Director will need to determine. However, I find Pascal Jansen to be a very logical name for Ajax.”
