Ajax Signs Joel Lara to a Long-Term Contract

Ajax has secured the services of Joel Lara, as reported by De Telegraaf. The Spanish scout, who is a close associate of the new technical director in Amsterdam, Jordi Cruijff, has signed a contract that extends until mid-2028.

The 45-year-old Lara, described as a ‘top Spanish scout’ by the newspaper, shared his enthusiasm regarding his appointment: “I chose Ajax because it is one of the biggest clubs in Europe, and perhaps the world. It is a tremendous opportunity for me to work with both FC Barcelona and now Ajax, two clubs that share the same philosophy, culture, and approach to developing young players. Both focus on ball possession and have a strong belief in the abilities of their players.”
