Ajax to Announce Maximilian Ibrahimovic’s Arrival

Ajax is scheduled to announce the arrival of Maximilian Ibrahimovic this coming Tuesday, as reported by transfer journalist Fabrizio Romano. The son of football legend Zlatan Ibrahimovic successfully passed his medical examination on Monday. The 19-year-old forward will be joining the club on a loan basis from AC Milan.

This past weekend, news broke that Ajax and AC Milan had reached an agreement regarding Ibrahimovic’s transfer. The young talent will be joining Ajax on loan, and the club has secured an option to purchase. According to De Telegraaf, Ajax will be able to acquire him at the end of the season for €3.5 million, along with a sell-on percentage for AC Milan.

In Amsterdam, Ibrahimovic will train with the first team, with the aim of eventually playing matches for Jong Ajax. The left winger had a contract with AC Milan until the summer of 2027 and trained three times a week with their first team. His management explored several options within the Netherlands, but ultimately, both he and his father favored a move to Ajax.
