Ajax is still diligently searching for a new technical director. According to various Dutch media sources, Jordi Cruijff is currently in the lead for this position. However, Johan Derksen, a prominent television personality, questions whether this would be a wise decision for the club.

Derksen is not convinced that Cruijff is the right choice for Ajax’s top target. Before Ajax can appoint a new coach, they first need to find a replacement for Alex Kroes. De Telegraaf reports that Cruijff is currently the leading candidate for this role. Derksen expressed his concerns during a segment on Vandaag Inside, stating, “I believe Ajax would be taking a significant gamble by appointing him as technical director. Jordi is riding on the coattails of his father’s illustrious name.”
