Ajax s Search for Experienced Leadership ContinuesAjax s Search for Experienced Leadership Continues

Jordan Henderson left Ajax last summer to join Brentford, where he has been performing admirably in the Premier League. Meanwhile, Ajax continues its search for an experienced leader after the unsuccessful experiment with loan player James McConnell.

Mike Verweij, a journalist with De Telegraaf, mentioned in the podcast **Kick Off** that Ajax is currently focused on bringing in right-back JP Chermont and winger Maher Carrizo, especially since Maarten Paes and nearly Oleksandr Zinchenko have already been signed. Verweij stated, “If all goes well, an experienced midfielder will be coming in soon.”

Valentijn Driessen proposed an intriguing idea: “Why not bring him back? He’s just sitting on the bench at Brentford after all, and Ajax was quite pleased with him during his time here.”
