Ajax’s Technical Director Navigates Future of Rising Star Rayane Bounida

The new decision-maker in Amsterdam has just brought in a number of Spanish players for the youth team and is now turning his attention to another important matter: the future of Rayane Bounida.

Recent reports from Voetbal International revealed that Cruijff is in discussions with representatives of the talented right winger. Ajax acquired Bounida from Anderlecht in mid-2022 and offered him a new contract last February that aligned with the club’s financial situation at that time. Since last summer, Bounida has been a consistent member of the first team, often starting games under coach Fred Grim. The club has proposed a new contract and is currently in negotiations. Bounida’s existing deal runs until the summer of 2028.

Spanish scouts have already compiled detailed reports on the 19-year-old attacking midfielder, who represents Belgium at the Under-21 level.
