Al Nassr maintained their perfect start to the Saudi Pro League season with an impressive 4-1 victory over Al Khaleej on Sunday. This noteworthy result featured goals from Cristiano Ronaldo and several of the club’s other high-profile signings.

With João Félix and Sadio Mané already contributing to the scoreline, Ronaldo concluded the match with a spectacular goal in the 96th minute. At 40 years old, the superstar defied age and physical limitations, executing a remarkable overhead kick that capped off an emphatic win.

Despite Al Khaleej goalkeeper Anthony Moris getting his hands on Ronaldo’s shot, it was not enough to prevent the ball from finding the back of the net. This goal marked the 954th of Ronaldo’s illustrious career, ensuring Al Nassr has won all nine of their league fixtures so far, putting them four points clear at the top of the table.

This latest acrobatic goal adds to Ronaldo’s impressive repertoire of overhead kicks, now totaling four memorable strikes in his extensive career. Notably, one of the most remarkable efforts was a disallowed goal during a Euro 2008 qualifier against Azerbaijan in 2006, where Ronaldo executed a bicycle kick that the officials controversially failed to count.

Additionally, although not technically an overhead kick, Ronaldo’s exquisite scissor kick that opened the scoring in a 5-1 victory against the Faroe Islands in a 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifier showcased his extraordinary talent.

In another memorable moment, just a year prior to his recent success in Saudi Arabia, Ronaldo scored twice in a 5-1 victory over Poland in the UEFA Nations League, with one being a leaping volley from close range.

However, perhaps the most iconic overhead kick of his career occurred during the 2017-18 Champions League quarterfinal, where he scored a breathtaking goal against Juventus, a strike that was later voted the best of the tournament by UEFA.
