In a recent press conference, Alexis Sánchez made significant statements regarding his future with Sevilla. Currently under contract until June 30th, he has recently been linked to clubs such as Internacional de Porto Alegre. However, Sánchez has no intention of leaving during this transfer window. He stated, “In the initial months after my arrival here, I had offers to move to Brazil and Chile. I chose to stay because I believe Sevilla is a prominent club with talented players who just need to maintain their composure on the pitch.”

Sánchez further added, “I am happy here with the coaching staff, the players, and everything surrounding the club. I signed for one year and always strive to give my best. When I no longer feel fit physically and mentally, I will be responsible and step aside. I came here because it is a great club, and I want to leave on a high note.” He emphasized that his goal for this season is to finish well, and he will reassess his situation regarding fitness and mental health.

He also highlighted his dedication to Sevilla and his profession, saying, “I always stay longer, train alone, and even came in on Epiphany because I want to be in top form, both for myself and because I love this sport. If it were purely about money, I would have gone to Brazil or Chile. I came here to contribute, and I see young players who are upset because they face criticism or struggle on the field, which is not easy for them. I advise them that this game will be around forever, and if they aspire to be among the best, they need to adapt. It’s crucial for each player to find their own path.”

On the topic of Sergio Ramos potentially rejoining Sevilla, Sánchez opined, “It would be beneficial to welcome someone who has spent a significant time here. If it’s in the best interest of the club, then he would be a welcome addition. If someone wants to buy the club and it benefits Sevilla, I will be content, knowing I gave my all.”
