Alisha Lehmann Returns to the UK A New Chapter with Leicester CityAlisha Lehmann Returns to the UK A New Chapter with Leicester City

Alisha Lehmann has made her return to the UK after a brief tenure in Italian football. In 2024, she joined Juventus, following in the footsteps of her then-partner Douglas Luiz, and celebrated winning the Serie A title in her debut season. The following year, she transferred to Como Women, enjoying the scenic beauty of Italy.

Now, Lehmann has relocated back to the Midlands, signing with Leicester City, which brings her closer to her new partner, Montel McKenzie. On her 27th birthday, McKenzie expressed his affection in an Instagram post, sharing various photos from their vacations together, showcasing their closeness.

Montel McKenzie, a semi-professional footballer and reality TV personality known for his appearances on Love Island and the Baller League UK, has enjoyed a burgeoning relationship with Lehmann following his split from Kaz Crossley in June 2025. While they initially kept their relationship private, they now feel comfortable sharing it publicly.

A source revealed to The Sun, “It hasn’t been much of a secret within the Baller League setup. They hit it off straight away and have been going on dates afterward. Alisha has been flying him to her Como apartment for sneaky weekend breaks for a while now. Everyone is really happy for them, although initially, it seemed casual.”

The insider added, “With Alisha being his ‘manager’ at Baller League, it might have made things a bit confusing for Montel, but he was smitten. Baller League parties are known for their mix of footballers, Love Island stars, and other celebrities.”

Lehmann’s time in Como has now come to an end as she settles in Leicester, having previously played in the WSL with West Ham, Everton, and Aston Villa. She parted ways with former Villa star Douglas Luiz last year, who is currently on loan at Nottingham Forest. As one of the most recognizable figures in women’s football, with 15.9 million Instagram followers, Lehmann is eager to embrace this new chapter in her career.

Upon signing a contract through 2028, she shared with Leicester’s official website, “It feels amazing, and I’m so happy to be here. It feels like a homecoming, coming back to England. Leicester is an amazing club. I’ve seen the training ground, and of course, the stadium. They want to push women’s football forward.”

Lehmann’s arrival is viewed as a significant boost for Leicester, expected to enhance the club’s profile while adding essential international experience to a squad fighting to maintain its WSL status. Currently sitting ninth in the league table, five points clear of last place, Lehmann aims to help the Foxes distance themselves from relegation threats, with her debut likely against former club West Ham this Sunday, followed by challenging matches against Arsenal and Manchester United.
