Analysis of Oscar Gloukh’s Transfer to Ajax

Oscar Gloukh transferred from RB Salzburg to Ajax last summer for approximately €15 million. However, the Israeli player has only occasionally showcased his potential since arriving in Amsterdam. Former scout Hans van der Zee finds it unsurprising that Gloukh has not achieved notable success thus far.

Van der Zee expresses confusion regarding the transfer policy in Amsterdam, highlighting that Gloukh joined the club shortly after the contracts of Davy Klaassen and Steven Berghuis were extended. “It seems contradictory to acquire a new number 10, Oscar Gloukh, for €15 million when he has not proven to be a valuable addition,” Van der Zee remarked during the NOS program “Langs De Lijn.”
