Ante Budimir Expresses Frustration After Osasuna’s Defeat to Girona

Ante Budimir expressed his frustration following Osasuna’s defeat to Girona, particularly highlighting that his team deserved more from the match, especially during the first half. Osasuna had 12 attempts on goal, yet none were on target, with their closest chance being a shot from Rubén García that hit the crossbar.

Budimir stated, “Girona plays excellent football, but over the course of these 90 minutes, Osasuna performed better. If we don’t manage to direct our shots on target, including myself, winning becomes impossible. In the first half, we dominated the game. If we lack precision, victory will elude us. I am not worried because the team trains well, but we must start winning matches.”

He further commented on their inability to score, noting, “It is inexplicable that they only approached our goal once and scored with a backheel. Despite our numerous chances, we not only failed to score but did not even manage a shot on target. It saddens me because we deserved much more from the game.”
