LIVERPOOL, England — Arne Slot has conveyed that he is “not worried” about his position at Liverpool, even in light of the team’s recent heavy loss to PSV Eindhoven in the UEFA Champions League.

Liverpool suffered a 4-1 defeat to the Eredivisie leaders at Anfield on Wednesday, marking their ninth loss in the last twelve games across all competitions. Currently, the Reds sit in 12th place in the Premier League and 13th in the Champions League standings, amplifying the pressure on Slot to instigate a turnaround.

When asked about his concerns regarding his future with the club, Slot responded, “I’m not worried. My focus is on aspects other than my own position. I aim to analyze and support the players as much as I can. It is evident that my approach is not the same as last season. When discussing individual errors, it is crucial to recognize that they often result from team dynamics.”

He continued, “I need to improve, and that is my daily objective—to enhance the team’s performance. That is where my primary focus lies.”

Liverpool recently faced 3-0 defeats in the Premier League against Manchester City before the international break and Nottingham Forest on Saturday. This marks the first time since September 1992 that they have conceded three or more goals in three consecutive matches.
